Finally got some work done today. First time to really get anything accomplished since November. Been a long winter.

I have both B pillar wood in and the header and quarter window wood in on the drivers side. Header wood in on he passenger side. I bought my wood from Tom Bay, it needed very little trimming to fit right so I was very pleased.

  2. Tim , I just caught up with your thread the coupe looks great , I especially like the wide fives . And your so right about the long winter , It's been slow on my AV8. Hope to see you again in Joplin .

Thanks for the compliments. I plan on driving the 32 to Joplin this year, I hope to see your A there No Stinking Windows.

  5. Way cool, Tim. My A is being delivered here next week. Maybe next year I can make it to the HAMB drags in style. Started on the convertible yet?

Finished installing the wood kit. I am waiting to do the rear window wood after I paint the body.

The body is now off the frame again so I can get it ready for paint and to run brake and fuel lines on the frame.

  10. After the crappy winter you had up there it's good to see more progress. Wish I could buy your other '32 body.

If I can land this other 32 coupe I found, my other body and frame will be for sale.
Running brake lines and making a master cylinder mount this weekend.

Here is a thread I started on a coupe that found me. I'm talking to the owner, attempting to strike a deal.

My "other" 32 is another 5w that I'm scrounging parts for. I have a nice original frame, grill shell, moldings, etc. it will be y-block powered with 6x2s, 3spd, and banjo (quick change if I can afford one). Oh yes, and a heavy chop.

If you ever make it to town on a weekend, holler at me and stop by.

All brake lines ran and secured. Mastercylinder mount made. Turned out good. Mounts to the k-member using the same bolts as the brake and clutch pedal mount.

Next step is running fuel line and get the gas tank ready for paint.

Spent some time sanding the body. Right now it's filler free but after sanding it highlighted the areas that will need some skin coat. Overall, not too bad considering what a mess it was when I started.

I'm trying to get it drivable by the hamb drags. The chassis is ready for the body.

Spread a little filler and re-primed. It is ready to be blocked then one more coat of primer then block again. Plan on having it in paint by the end of the month.

I also scored an original dash with wood graining. It was redone in the 70's.

I'm trying to get it painted and drivable for the hamb drags, but if I miss that, it will be going to the hotrod hill climb in Georgetown.

  29. Sweet, hope you make it. Those HRHC guys were all over LARS, looks like a fun event. Hmm, 739 miles from Scottsdale...
