Projects 1950 Olds Kustom from POLAND

Discussion in 'The Hokey Ass Message Board' started by 54Chevy Lead SLed, Apr 28, 2014.

  1. About year and a half ago I found on HAMB clasifield forum 1950 Olds project. After importing vehicle from Oregon to Poland I found out that it’s not a quick project, so I just forgot about it for few months, just didn’t had too much time for it. Good thing is that recently finally we start working on this car. I think that some of you guys may like it…

<O:pOn the beginning my idea was to make Olds as a bare metal car.

but later I asked my friend Bartosz Janiszewski from Lfant Design to make a visualization for me…

<O:pSo I had a car and nice idea, so it was a good time to start working on it…<O:p</O:p
My first idea was to modify original frame a little bit but after few days I decided that with old frame I can’t get what I am looking for, so we start building new frame for our project. <O:p</O:p

  2. It took us some time to made this frame. A lot of messuring, thinking and much more welding, cutting and grinding.

After a while we find out that rear part of a frame is to low, so he had to redone whole rear end.<?xml:namespace prefix = "o" ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />
We also made new rear suspension.

  17. I forgot to mention about some technical data...

As you seen on the previous pictures we made rear suspension by us self.

On the front we used 53-56 Ford F-100 crossmember from TCI.

We are going to use Shock Wave from RideTech on a front and on the rear.

To make it moving up and down we are going to install Accu Air self leveling unit.

  18. and this is how interior will look...
