I am sure the ranchero is going to look amazing.

I may have found some within driving range. But I am waiting on pictures.
He said one is slightly different from the other 3 so I am not sure but they are cheap enough that its worth a shot.
I work 10 hour shifts so I will try to get to you around 5 (I think 6 your time)

Will a 1970 Mavrick V8 8" 5 lug rear end at 51" fit in my 1964 Falcon wagon? I'm trying to do a 5 lug conversion. I was planning on buying a 1967 V8 mustang 5 lug drum complete front assembly, I think from what I have been reading this will all work, but I would appreciate any info more experianced folks might be willing to share.

Yes it will. It's right at 56 1/2" wide though, but that's semantics. The spring pads will be a bit wide for the springs, and you will have to do a bit of missing around the lower plates to accommodate the wider U-bolts, but it is a very common swap.

  19. What are you guys doing for rubber seals for the rear doors on the 64/65 Wagons? So far I am only finding 4 door Sedan units.

Parents had a 1961 Mercury Comet 2 door wagon from 1966-1969. I think the production was less than 5000. If you use the factor of what is left on the road after 50 years there are probably less than 100. In all my years since the internet came out, I've seen one on eBay (non-driver) and none in person since we traded that one in North Carolina.

Here is a couple of photos of my 64 just started really working on it again. I was going to sell it but cleaned it off and was fixing a few things and decided I could not let it go. My daughter helped me tape off the engine bay. I was pretty excited when I removed the cover over the back seat and it was super nice.

    Hi,

I purchased a 1961 Comet 2 door wagon in North Carolina. I'm thinking it may not be the same one that you traded in North Carolina as it came from Santa Barbara, CA. They made 4199 of them in 1961. It is pretty funky in looks, but I still admire it. Great topic, by the way.

The way I remember it (from Mom's photo albums) the exterior was a faded metallic blue-green color and the interior was black and white.

Here is another sad case. This is in a junkyard near Fredericksburg, Va. It is slowly becoming "one" with Mother Earth.
