  1. Don't blame you! I love 'em too! Looking good and well on your way to that '60s style.. Nice, nice, nice.

Love this thread! Nothing screams Custom like white interior. Planning on white in my wagon.

  3. Whats this style of carpet called and where can you find it?

Thrillr - do you mean the black carpet with flecks of color? That looks like Trinidad carpet. GM used it on late 50's Bonnevilles and other models which others here more knowledgeable than me can share.

I looked all over for the stuff. Most sources who used to carry it are out of it. SMS has black with silver flecks. When it is gone it is not coming back.

Sherman interiors in Michigan has some but he wants big dollars for it since it is earmarked for the Pontiac collector doing a full on resto where nothing but exactly right will do.

Maybe others have found the carpet available elsewhere. I know if they found a supplier carrying it a few years back, call them and see - I bet it is gone

  6. ACC still shows two colors of Trinidad carpet on their website but I don't know if they still have any or not.

Nice job kiwi !!!!!!!!!! Has anyone done a snap on set of running board covers? Thinking of something that could be sewed and channeled over the lower facing lip and snaped at the rear. Something to work on.

thanks!...there is a few people on this thread that have used a combo of snaps and Velcro to attach the covers, autoweave who did mine glued them down and sealed the edges with silicone sealer and the material used was marine grade vinyl and mold resistant padding
