What kinda dough did you have to shell out for the dustless blasting? Would you recommend it?

I would recommend it for exterior only on the body. It works great for body panels that are not double walled such as fenders. There is no warping but the clean up on a body is a bear. I had to wash all the mud out of the body first. Then she started to turn orange.. And we all know what that is. So luckily i had a gallon of ospho and sprayed it down. Then this morning till now i had to wire wheel the body down to cut the ospho to prime. After twenty five years of doing auto body stick with what works. SAND BLASTING. And be done. Im not mad just confused lol. Never trust a video. I wish i would of sandblasted. So full body No.. And Fenders and such a yes on my scale. Im on the guys side that blasted my car. This was the biggest job that he has done. And he agreed that it was not as demo'd when he bought the rig. And i have to say that he is a restoration young man that has sand blasted many of cars and was sold on this dustless blasting. I could keep going but. Im sticking to my point Sand Blast.

  10. Looking good - now you can focus on the fun parts. Btw - I suspect you have all of the front bench now? That was a long process getting that down to you huh!
    Awaiting your interior plans

Well call me crazy but after the dustless blasting my trunk lid got pumped full of wet sand and i could not sleep at night wondering what was growing in my rust free trunk lid. So my son and i this morning made a top and bottom jig to keep the lid square. We picked a perfect spot for are cut line so when its welded back and a little body work the pinch weld will be untouched. Ill post some more pics soon of cleaning and metal work. There are some dents i can get to now that i could not before.

Not much progress yet. I did move my car back out to my shop to have more room than my basement lol. Trying to get all my small projects done so I can really focus on the merc! Not enough time in the day brother...

As I recall Drew had a lot of other projects going on with house & yard that takes time from the car.

Had a great day with my son on the Merc again, we are tackling the the trunk pan and rear tool tray area. The car must have been bumped in rear at one point. We are going to get it straitened out, and get rid of the Rot ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1397941455.691906.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1397941470.145049.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1397941481.265862.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1397941494.423910.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1397941505.557668.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1397941518.952427.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1397941532.319848.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1397941567.265050.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1397941578.536864.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1397941590.821831.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1397941624.177713.jpg
