  4. My wife enters my garage maybe five times a year. She has asked in the past "why do you need all this junk?" I told her I don't need it all. I just need one or two pieces, I just don't know which pieces yet or when I will need them.
Larry, hope to see some pics soon of the finished seats.

Mine does the exact same thing in the morning on the way out to work! There I am in what passes for the deepest level of concentration I posses about to pull the handle on a perfectly placed louver and from six inches away... "Hey! I gorin to work, give me kiss!!!" (you provide your own outrageous Chinese accent)

My wife worked with me in my shop ever since I met her. When I retired, she built MOST of my new shop!
Good thing she's still working, or I'd have to beg her to let her husband into HER shop...

She comes out all the time.
She'll ask "What can I do"?
When I say "youre doin it", she gets bored and goes inside.
Just bein out there and pretty is enough.

Agreed, 100%. My wife is absolutely willing to help, and does when I need help! She's the best, and is willing to support my hobby. Dealing with that alone means the world to me! :D

  10. When I was having some serious health issues, my wife decided I needed the shop I'd always wanted. She acted as the General Contractor and took care of all the details. She got a much better result than I would have.

To this day I'm unsure if it was heartfelt or additional bait to land another man if I didn't make it.

She's welcome any time, but she does not like my clutter.

First off I have to state that me wife is my best friend. She's not the best wrench holder, but she will do it. She likes it when she knows I'm working (safely) out in the garage. She will even wander the local junk yard with me. She even attends swap meets with me. I can't complain....but she has kept a financial record of my latest project (30 Chevy boat tail Speedster) which really hurts when the subject comes up. I get over the hurt (spending pain) in a couple hours and all is good again. Gotta love her, I'd be lost without her. Gary

Mine stays away from the garage because she can't stand the smell of paint and solvent.
She'll help if I need her, but she's not gonna volunteer.

Mine comes out and checks on things once in a while. Just shakes her head when i bring home something or sell something. I do side jobs that fund my hot rods, so luckily money is hardly an issue. I deposit my check and she keeps the lights on for me to work out there. Only bad/good habit she has is letting the kids out in the shop to help or aggravate.

  16. Ladyhrp, sneaks out to my shop and borrows tools and never returns them,,screwdrivers, pliers, hammers, tape measures..

I generally find them in a drawer in the kitchen or under the cabinet in my bathroom,,no rhyme or reason for the bathroom but if it;s missing that is the first place to look. HRP

"Honey, if I knew what I was doing, I could tell you how to help me."

I'm still figuring it out one bolt at a time.

Every time one of these comes up I wonder why half of you got married in the first place. Next I wonder how the other half stay married. With a few exceptions.

Larry, I learned a long time ago to put Velcro on my balls. That way she can give them back when she thinks I need them..
