Capt. last year the plastic credential had a "punch out" spot just for the Goodie Bag. I remember getting the credential on the right just before the entrance gate.
Are you a CG licensed boat captain?

yeah gman I was a charter capt for 12 years, got tired of it because the all knowing govt. set fish quotas, new license requirements with homeland security and all this cost money I could be putting in my car.....so I let my license expire.....plus the economy killed the charter business in this little county

Can anyone confirm if you have to pre-register if you just want to show?

Elmer, you can probably register at the HRR but normally you can pre-register at a cheaper rate.

Capt. Mullette, too bad you gave the fishing up. Thought maybe we could get some fishing done. I'm in PCB not that far from you.

I always registered at the hotel because it was a show in its self . Had a ball meeting old friends making new ones but that's another story. never pre -registered, and won't this year because a situation at home not sure I'll get to go. But i guess my point is ,WHAT'S IN THE GOODY BAG! besides the extra ticket.

  12. Hey hambers, I got my tickets today, entry number 40 for ol blue. I see the questions and concerns about the tickets. I called nhra tickets and the way it works is take your printed tickets with the bar code on it to the event tent, get your goodie bag, and in it is the hard tickets with the neck lanyard. They told me the reason is because of the confusion and extra tickets sent out by mistake last year. If you have the printed tickets, you do not go on line and print more ( straight from nhra)

That used to be the case for racers too, but they eliminated the extra ticket about 2 years ago. Entry cost stayed the same but just covers the car and driver now.

Capt. Mullette, when your in FL you have to fish. Next best thing to messing with old cars. Cobia now running just off the beach at PCB.
Less then two months, we're getting close.

I have done a lot of fishing in the gulf. I have caught just about every species down there. I have never hooked a cobia. I have had them destroy popping corks while trout fishing. They can't stand the noise, I guess. My grandparents live around the Pine Island area. The lived on a little island for over ten years in the gulf around cabage key if anyone is familiar with the area. I spent every summer there fishing with my cousin and grandfather. Those were the days, nothing better to do than fish, eat, clean fish, eat and fish some more. What a summer routine!!!! I miss it quite often. :(..

Yeah, first one except Columbus that we didn't race. I was there, briefly, but without a car. We have hotel reservations for June and plan on taking 2 cars this year. We'll see what happens. Neither is registered yet.

B.Sharp, fishing in the Gulf is tough duty but someone has to do it. The best eating fish we catch is Trigger Fish and cook them on our grill, mmmm good. The reason you never see Trigger Fish on a restaurants menu is they taste so good the boat crews take them home rather then sell them.
We also have a place east of Louisville but I get tired of eating Kentucky Possum. Thats where the car in my avatar is at.

Capt. Mullette, never really thought about grouper throats until we went to the Captains Table Restaurant in St. Andrews. Some good eating.

You know I hadn't even noticed you were corresponding the year of the car to the # of days . I can't wait to see when you get below 20 days:)
