Must have one....Great looking wheels. Thanks Ryan for posting these.

  6. Beautiful wheel. I regret the day I sold my '65 Riv. If I could ever find one as nice, and all black like it, I would buy it in a blink!

Excellent looking wheels. Did you keep the one from your Riv? I would have had to.It is kind of a work of art.

After all these years it's not often I wish I still had my '59 Pontiac, but imagining its steering wheel in white or silver-grey Pearlcraft makes me wish I did. With the lurex-fleck carpet, "jeweltone" silver and white "morrokide" upholstery plus the chrome and aluminum surfaces it would've been a real feast for the eyes!

  14. That Riviera is a beautiful car, the Borrani's will always make it special. What color is the paint anyway?

Thanks for the post, I had just posted about wheel restoration, but this takes it to a whole new level! Sorry to hear you sold the Rivi, I saw it at Roundup for the first time with the Borranis and sure liked the result. Obviously someone else did too and made you an offer you couldn't refuse....................................can't wait to see what's next!

I have wanted to send my steering wheel to Pearlcraft for years. I've just always been leery of sending it all the way down there. Why isn't there someone in the US doing this?!

ps I hope the Riviera stays in the Austin area so we can still see it at local shows!

    Expensive. Plus postage.
You've also got to have a spare wheel if you want to drive your car while your wheel is away.

Agreed, the wheel is a beautiful detail to a great Riviera. Now I want one too! Ryan, I was very surprised to see your Riv for sale, but I understand. I've had mine for 13 years now and still have occasional thoughts of selling or trading for something different in my garage. Until I read your ad. You nailed it with the claim of driving it 75mph being therapeutic. So true. Rivieras are in my blood too. Good luck, cant wait to see your next ride.

I will assume you sold it with another steering wheel.

There was another Riv at Roundup that had a pearly wheel AND pearl where the woodgrain used to be on the dash and console. Super suave!

I used another supplier down under for both my wheels rather than Pearlcraft. Just as good IMHO and a quality job that has stood the test of time. I haven't seen the fellow for a few years now and he may have stopped doing them altogether. From memory he used a 3M brand product.

  29. I wish I could figure out how to get the depth that Pearlcraft does...
