did anybody else bump in to a thread on here about a coupester with yellow paint and black pinstrip? It might of been bronze color too. Also it was in barn find condition and really beat up. It's kind of reminding me of the Dick Kelly 3 window from Mass. Thanks for the help, Jared

My Dad has a '34 5-window that could be a twin to that one. A chopped and channelled car done in the 50's-60's, with the same medium blue metallic. The frame was Z'ed at both ends. Had a chopped '32 shell with expanded mesh insert.

My Dad's car is totally disassembled now. Stored in the back of the storage building, so no pics.

Mine came back from paint at Eli English's Traditional Speed and Custom a few weeks ago. It's been great motivation to have it home in this state. Work on the chassis is getting done faster than ever!

This one. Hotrodderhaag - thanks for posting the story. Unfortunately the type of story we hear all too often, where an owner who is doing nothing with a nice car will just let it sit rather than sell to a willing and able builder. We have a few of those in my area, seems they are all over.

Keep an eye on it. Eventually he'll pass away and that coupe will be sold off by the estate. (Makes you wonder what else he has squirrelled away on all of his properties)

Or, he'll rent to a crack head who will sell it and claim that "it must have been stolen".

Some guys get their joy by flaunting an old gem like that just to get the attention from wanting buyers. Then they'll gloat about how much $$$ they've turned down for it. If they sell it, they lose their attention getter.

Out of all the people that heve inquired over the years, he may eventually piss off the wrong person and find that they come back and winch that puppy onto a trailer and be gone with it before you can say boo...

Eric, the plan is to have it done in time. Here's hoping.

  29. That's wild! I spent almost 3 year at Monteith barracks outside Furth in the 60s. Sadly, I didn't see any hotrods while I was there but I did drive this 57 Opel. Taken at the railroad tank loading platform at Monteith.
