It doesn't get any better than that when it comes to 40 FORDS. Nicely done.

got it home, here are some more pics. Old build, lacquer checked with age, 80s velour interior but a solid Henry built steel car. Very nice underneath, painted and pinstriped on frame and gas tank. Dropped axle, parallel leafs in rear, 9" ford. Motor number reveals it to be a '70 300hp 350. My wife loves the upgrade in comfort from our Model A pickup.

Here is my RHD version, originally built for South Africa....all stock drivetrain but lowered front and back.....looks nice and shiney in the pix but is a ten footer.....had paint perfect cars in the past but this one is by far the favourite, just get in and drive and don't worry about chips, dirt or road rash.

  15. I think it is great that you've owned it for 50 years, so many of us have let some great cars pass thru our fingers.

Oldcurmdgeon, that is a nice car even if it is a little aged. Someone did it very nice when they built it!

  18. I'll say; and you could still eat off that chassis... Quite a drop in that tube axle, and yet, the wish-bones are still not split......

I've been collecting parts for about 8 years. Someday I'd like some satin paint on it but for now, Probably not the most hamb friendly car but, ratty paint, air suspension. Lays the frame. Mii front. triangulated 4link rear. 57 ford 9" 3.50 posi, 4l60e trans. Has a 327 that will be traditional in about 20 years....haha.....pic with a hood.

I thought I would add a few updated pics of my christmas present. I replaced the entire brake system, new tires. Fixed a hung exhaust valve and rubbed out the paint. so what do you think so far?

olscrounger<SCRIPT type=text/javascript> vbmenu_register("postmenu_9678599", true); </SCRIPT> I have looked at your car pics and you have the 'look' for 39-40's down. When I get ready to lower it I'll get ahold of you. Right now I'm going to enjoy it for the summer. Thanks for the kind words!!!

Old-Soul Thanks! When I'm ready to get rid of it I'll let you know! LOL
