Ron, no problem IMO - you and swi66 have been prolific over the past couple of months and I was just tuggin' ya chain.
    Cheers.

  5. Thx for that. I try to keep things within HAMB guidelines & not too much that's newer than '64-'65 but sometimes my 'auto-edit' doesn't work and a few might slip thru the cracks.

Lots of contributors here with lots of great vintage shots!

Thats about the time we used to go watch the "La Brea hill climbs" in the hills above Crenshaw blvd. (L.A.)
Some were even brave enough to run a full dressed Harley or Indian up the climb, only to stall out or fall off, resulting in the bike chasing the rider back down the hill!!

I was wondering if anybody could identify the car in this picture.

Man is my great uncle. According to a brief diary note, this picture was taken during a trip by my great aunt and uncle to Yellowstone National Park.

They late owned a Dort touring car, but I do not think this is a Dort (wooden spoke rims).

    Thanks.

  17. That is an early Dodge Brothers touring car about 1917, I think.

??? Not sure where you get your info???

Wikipedia states 10,857 ft for Wolf Creek Pass. My old Rand McNalley shows 10,850 ft...

Not that I would expect my great aunt to be accurate in the early 1920's...
