A fuzzy, sneak peek of Dick Carroll's '34 roadster. I just got this picture e-mailed to me from his wife. He's leaving on Friday to head out to LARS, so those of you out in the left coast, keep your eyes out for him.

  5. Kim Ketilsøe's '33 has always been a favorite of mine! Rumors has it, he’s building a new engine for it – really looking forward to see it in the gravel pits and on the hill at A-Bombers Old Style Weekend again!
Here taken at our return trip from OSW '08.

  8. I've been working on mine, getting fenders on it and I had a top made...but I have yet to see them both on the car at the same time

Yes, Yes, Yes, it sure looks good to me but I would have to have both the hiboy and full fendered version. Hard decision! The top is really nice. Did you use stock irons and bows?

  10. Yes, stock irons and bows...both modified. The top turned out fantastic

Some pics of my current 34 roadster project.
Some work is still to do but I hope to be on the road in may.

I´m runnig two different set of tires on the roadster, driver side is blackwall, passenger side are white walls ( 6.00/7.50 x 16) I could not make up my mind whats nicer, you see only one side of of roadster, so this is my result ....
Chopped old aluminum duvalle windscreen, soft-top with side curtains, 4wdb, cc, heat , 39 banyo steering on a 46 ford style column and a lot more...

I really like the path you have taken on your 34. After running mine 34 years as a HiBoy,I put the original fenders back on. I went with the 41 bumpers as done in the past by others and like the look. As hard to find as these cars are,in our area there are at least 7 steel Hot Rod 34 roadsters. I also admire your 41 convert.I am glad to see younger guys who enjoy our hobby as much as I have. Looking forward to your color choice. Dick Carroll

Yes i found it here in Sweden but it was sold new in Argentina, thats why its a RHD car right now (LHD 37 hudson box will replace it)
I have a 1300mile drive to a-bombers old style weekend, ive done the drive with my shoebox coupe so maybe in the future :)

    Chris,
This thread is just like all of these cars! Kool! Didn't see a bad one in the bunch.
Thanx for including mine as well, I really dig with what you've done with the new one.

Would be cool If you posted some fresh pics of yours

  21. Thanks Dick, hope to paint it late this year.

  22. It's late 40's-50's GM vinyl. I was going to do cloth, but no one makes a pure white cloth. Oyster white was all they had, which is more of a light tan

  23. Thanks Kevin, hope to have it back on the road as a new car soon!

  24. Lucky you! Hoping to get the means to find a '33 some day...
Ok, would be kuul to be meeting it at the grounds up there. :)

    Keep 'em kruzin!
