Very unique shape. Is that blank space reserved for something or just part of your design?

  6. Alright, gonna bump this back up to the top. I kinda cheated on mine, it's a '35 Chevy Standard, but I fitted a '34 Chevy Master dash in it...same size and shape, but moves gauges from the center to left side and adds the glove box. Used guitar pickguard material to cover the billet insert. Could have used drum wrap material, but was told that isn't very UV stable and fades quickly. Re-used existing gauges, but they look totally different now.

Can I play?...I'm working on a few more hot rod dash panels right now, and I hope the under dash panels fit the scope of the thread...the under dash panels are designed to be reversible, they're finned on one side and plain on the other...I'll be modifying the 3 gauge dash panel to look a bit smoother, and I'm also making a 5 gauge panel soon along with possibly a finned Hollywood 7 gauge style...

If anyone wants a custom finned gauge panel or dash insert, just let me know and we can work something out...I make all of my own parts as a side business and I love prototyping new designs...

Actual speedometer on the 1941 Graham Hollywood -- I think Kenny Loggins starts singing when you hit 50 mph . . .

Built this for my sedan. I have a really nice 34 dash that I couldn't bring myself to cut up, even though I've cut the car to ribbons! Made some hammer forms and saved a cut up 34 dash. I was dealing with a boat restorer on a SW navigator. He would not give me a price. Finally had enough and did my own gauge panel too. Going with 60's era SW with a 5" Police speedo for gauges.

    Happy New Year to all!

I wish I could take credit for my dash but a forum member named Eggroll was the artist who did it.

Looks good Don! Glad to see it doing something besides sitting on my shelf.

  21. Added a bit of chrome to the dash.
    Breaks it up a bit.

Now, to go find where I left the ashtray.
Gotta fill in that hole.

Edit: found it right where I left it. In the car.

55 Olds, took like 7.375" out of center,3-4" off of ends, and 4-5" off of the back..I have a little more massaging on the ends to get the gaps I want, then the left side between the door and dash, will be my fuse box. Kinda like on a newer vehicle.
