My tail lights. Yes I know they are small, 1.5" lens, but they are bright as hell! I also painted the insides silver, that really made them shine . They have Dual filament bulbs so they are perfect and cheap, $26 on amazon. They will look great in the back . I wanted 37 ford tail lights but I wasn't real happy with the size . A little large for my likings ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1395334856.257295.jpg

Ditched the center caps for a more race style car look and a buddy donated an original 34 radiator cap.

    Well,
I spent a long weekend in North Carolina . I'll have a write up on it later and I'll post a link.
But I met up with my 78 year old friend who owns 3 33 fords. And we spent the weekend driving them around, shooting the shit with his old hot rod stories, and digging through his stash of parts.
I picked up a super nice working glove box door, a real 34 gas pedal, a NOS cowl vent ratchet arm, he also had an old steel glovebox insert for a radio , and a sweet little 40 ford mirror .. These will all look good in my coupe

He let me cruise his faded red 33 5 window, then we went out in his 33 cabriolet , we didn't drive his other 5 window cause the muffler was a little loose. I've never had that great of an experience and it was great to meet this old fellow. He is driving the red five window to bonneville with us next yet, he has never saw the salt!!

We where glad ya'll could come down to hang out with us and yes we did get a lot done, Alvin had a smile on his face for sure Dick and Tim and Kasey came by for the cookout which my wife Nancy knocked it out of the park with all the food, and hard work she put into it. We are planning sometime this summer you guys coming down again and where going to put Avin's 33 in the shop and get Alvin a chair and a beer keep his cigar lite and fix his car up he wants to pull the tired SBS and put the flathead back in and a five speed for the Bonneville trip. We missed the rest of The Road Pilots Justin Holly Kevin & Pork Chop and of course we all miss our good friend Big Al still can't believe he's gone but he was there in Spirit. The guy's from PA are planning on driving there cars down this summer Ben with the blown coupe, Brian with his sedan, and Sam with his bad four Banger. This will we hope be a plan and everyone can be here to work on Alvin's car drink a few Beer's and listen to Alvin tell some lies, I plan on getting a few beer's in Alvin so I can talk him out of that intake Haaaaa, ok guy's later on

Started digging into the 34 trying to get it done for summer. I installed the glove box door, the throttle pedal, and I shaved one door skin for a perfect fit. We will be gluing it on this week.!! About damn time! Pure lack of motivation on my part. After driving Alvin's 33, I have the itch again.. Of course that itch could be from the darn fiberglass :)

Passenger side door almost done .. Looks like I have a lot of body work to do and more alignment to make these doors really fit well

With those rear view pics, the decklid area looks unusual. It looks like the decklid is slid down farther than a stock Ford. Maybe they changed the measurements also, and that's what messed up the fitting of your stock decklid.

It will be listed in the classifieds if so. I'll know Saturday or sure . Pretty exited!

You have done a wonderful job on the glass body -- been watching along as you have progressed. I do understand the romance associated with a steel body however. Good luck.

the body im looking at is a chopped sedan..... its not a coupe. but in another thread of mine i went to NC and rode in 33 cabriolet and drove a 33 5 window. My thought is this on body styles, The coupes are the best, 3 window and 5 window i would love both, but as long as i sit in a seat, close the suicide doors, look out over that 33 or 34 hood, with the 33-34 dash in front of me, im not worried about whats behind me. my love for a 33 or 34 is the style, the view cruisng down the road. not so much the body configuration. they are all attractive to me. i love my 3 window. its been a lot of fun building it. and if this sedan doesnt work out. no big deal ill continue building my coupe and still make my trip to bonneville in it.
i did some serious changes to the car that i havent posted pictures yet... these changes will make the bonneville trip easier and less expensive. but once were back, they all come out and it will be put back together the way i had planned from the day i bought this car!
