Like that Service Center sign, I remember a handfull of cars at OC with sponsorship from them and I am building a 54 ford and was thinking of making it look like a 70s bracket car with that on the doors.

The MG are original from 1963 and are magnesium, the 57 in the garage are aluminum bought new from 1990 and the car is still not finished, but I'm working on it now, should be rolling by this summer.

Not Torq Thrusts, but since I see some clones posted, I'll post mine. Got these 4 ET Classic 5 wheels with other good rubber on them at the April swap meet for $325 a set. The rears are 8.5"x15" with 10-30-15 Hurst slicks, while the fronts are 5"x14" with 185-70-14 radials.
The gray center had been sanded and polished off, and a OK job, but just not as good as I wanted. I recently roughed up the centers and re-shot them with VHT mag wheel paint.

Nice. I was thinking about sand blasting the old paint off my spokes but then dirt and oil is gonna stick to them.

Wheel locks, you really need those? They only steal 22s around here.

I hate the saying, "Back in the day.....", but this is my street racing '64 Dodge 330 with 14X32 Drag 500s on Torque Trusts. A couple of earlier shots of it as a road race car, and a couple of shots of my "daily driver" Dodge A100, with a 440 Six-Pack. Hey, gas was 32 cents and a real man didn't care about gas mileage. Yep, back in the day.......

Yes! No garage, and my car is outside all the time! Gotta protect my $325 swap meet investment in those 4 wheels! ;)

My '55 (since sold) with original 1960s Americans, restored locally by Torq Thrust Terry. 15x6 up front, 2-ish inch backspace/deep dish front side. 15x8.5 rear with 3.5 or 4-inch backspace--can't remember for sure.

I run Torque Thrusts on both my cars (I'm in a rut!) 6 and 8 x15 on the truck, 5 and 7 x15 on the Tudor. Can't beat 'em!

  24. That '55 is freakin' awesome!
The color, the stance, the wheels. You NAILED it! To me, the Gasser era that you replicated with this car is my favorite. I like 'em raised but not sky-high, just like you did with this one.

I always liked the darker gray on the Ds, but I'm not sure when they were first produced. Gary

  29. Gary, the D's came out in '68. They were made for Corvette's to clear the disc brakes.
