    Wow, this is car porn!!

  10. I thot that shud be the same as my El Camino and thot it odd that Steele didn't carry it. I looked in their catalog and both '59 & '60 are listed the same way, "BelAir, Impala, El Camino & Wagon, except Brookwood." Why wud Brookwood be singled out?

Hi guys, I believe this is a misprint in Steele's catalog. All 1959 sedan, wagon or El Camino used GM # 4757011 windshield rubber. FWIW 1960 however is a different story, Biscayne/Brookwood use a different rubber to Belair/Impala etc. I know from experience that 1960 Biscayne sedan rear is different to all others as the trim fits into a slot in the rubber rather than being held by metal clips. Perhaps something similar on '60 front?

    Cheers,
    Arnold.

sorry for the delay guys , things here have been very frustrating and hetic , Ive been making some progress but not as much as I would have liked to , still working out the bugs in a lot of things , but I finally got a lot of them fugared out , I got the master cylinder back from being sleeved down and still ran into some problems , the spring on the 7/8 side wasn't long enough to pull the plunger back , but last Thursday I got it all fugared out , and the breaks are working the way they should now,
    [IMG]

I had the left side sleeved down to 7/8" ( Front disk) and the right side sleeved down to 1" for the (rear drums)

also ran into some oil leaks with the valve cover , I changed to a thicker gasket
    [IMG]

worked on the interior some more

back in from testing the brakes

    did some night driving
