5 miles from my house--many vettes--100's of Stude's--many convert's-- an Avanti--Packard's--and a hemi for my Dodge--we walked away shaking our heads--the stuff I saw--and we never saw it all--must be hundred's of cars-buildings of stuff also--and none of these were crashed cars--none for sale--met the owners kid and he was as nice as could be, but he was wearing rags and driving a $500 dollar car

That pickup with the dual rear axle, must be an aftermarket job? But the bed looks to match real nicely.

did you ask what their plans are for the vehicles? (since you said you talked to them, I guess they don't have a plan)

  11. The truck is pretty cool. I wouldn't mind the 65-66 Vette either.

I went to a junkyard yesterday I've been pulling stuff out of for years, and it's almost all crushed out. I just sat in the middle and remembered the first time I went there; cars piled 4 high and the "back corner" where you could only go if you knew the owner.I saw that other post that had pics from Mexico; I'm starting to think of moving! Thanks for the pics-totally amazing.

^^^hahahaha, I was thinking the same thing ....about rags and a 500 $ car----

  16. Yeah that 6-wheeled Apache is outrageous and it does look "factory". That would turn some heads going down the road.

  17. There is a new tv show that's basically about car hoarders. On this weeks episode it looked the hoarder had a bunch of real nice projects!

That T.V. Show about car hoarders is called "Lords of Car Hoards" Its a new series. Only 2 episodes so far and I've watched them both. They find people who hoard cars and they get them to part with all or most of them and in return the restore one of their cars for them. So they pretty much ask which one they want restored and in turn they sell all the other cars to fund the restoration and they keep whats left over for themselves. Its pretty neat. It has former WWE wrestle Chuck Palumbo and Rick Dore. in the first episode they did a off the wall Corvair van....

  21. I think I see a big weld line between the wheel wells, so I doubt that it's a factory job.

Damn, in my backyard as well! Must be off the main roads, I've been all around the area and never spotted them.
Not into Corvettes either but when is the last time anyone has seen one sitting and rotting outdoors, geez.

Is that a 6 wheeled fleetside apache?

Looks like a task force from what I can see.

What is it in these guys that blinds them to the damage they allow to happen over countless years? Have they no clue?

    Yep.

If I did it I would have continued the top of the wheel wells together into one long wheel well instead of the "widow's peak" in the middle.

    Looks amateurish to me.
