I'm trying to buy a ford with a Buick v8 transplant. Trouble is the guy is horrible with pictures. Any idea what Buick motor this may be. ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1395775252.554362.jpg ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1395775266.917738.jpg

    Yes, that's a '59-'64 Olds engine.

Possibly 394, what tranny does it have? Could be the roto-hydramatic 375(slim jim) which sucks. I know, cause I have one.
Adapter to turbo hydramatic = $1000

Auto... I think. There is no telling. I just can't get very many answers. But there is a ton a value in other pics I've seen.

    It's either a 371 or 394. Very rugged engines.

can't get any answers, doesn't know what motor he has. is it being sold at half price and he only wants Western Union for payment?

  9. better round up a friend from the forum and have him go look at it. Looks awful dusty. Stored outside???? Something does not sound right to me and I agree with 49ratfink!

  10. ONLY Western Union? I see red lights flashing everywhere.

  11. Buick engines have the distributor in the front.
Western Union, are you crazy, don't you read the HAMB?

The person who said "western union" was NOT the guy asking about the car, he was someone asking if the deal was legit, but not in a way that makes it easy for us to understand.

Nailhead distributors were in the rear.

yep. it is the buick 215, 300, and later engines that have the distributor in the front. Nailheads all in the rear.
