Projects 36-taildragger.....Made in Sweden

Discussion in 'Traditional Customs' started by Kenneth31coupe, Mar 17, 2013.

  1. Still no progress on the car but here´s some pics when she arrives to her new home.Right now everything is a big kaos trying to clean up the last 60 years inside the forge. The previus owner have´nt tossed away anything. There´s piles all over the floor with leftovers from all kinds of steel bars and sheet metall.Work benches are loaded with all sorts of tools and machines. I belive that underneath all of the junk there´s some old and cool parts that will pay off all of the work it takes to clean up.

Looks great! Can't wait to see some more progress!

  6. You will have to learn how to work all over with room to move. Show us the inside Kenneth.

  7. We cut them with a lawnmower instead.:)

    Sorry if it´s off topic.

    Thanks Reno.

    Thanks

That will be a whole new feeling for me but I´ll bet it will not take long before I have filld this one up too:D

Here´s some pics with the cars inside.Had to take six turns to the dump with the pick-up loaded with junk just to get the cars inside. I belive it´ll take another five or six turns with scrap too. Then I will refreshening it with some new paint and new lights installed.

Here´s the coolest part. It´s the old forge with all the old hammers and pliers hanging on the wall.Planing to just clean it up and ceep it like that.Think it´s a cool feature.

  8. Not only will you be able to work on both sides at once but you will be able to cast your own parts as well. To cool.

Ah,way more than a "shellare" Kenneth ..the forging section is a great touch too

  10. Very nice. See just throw a car in the pic and it stays on topic.... It's not that hard... From here is the birthplace of many traditional hotrods..... Enjoy.

very cool shop and house ..... the old time inspiration is everywhere.

  13. Yes, very cool shop! Move the cars outside, mask off the windows and put a couple of cherry bombs in a drum of white paint right in the middle of the shop ..and viola! Nice bright workplace! Har, har! ;)

  14. Then I will have to learn how to make patterns and molds too.

    Thanks Reno

I see what you mean, a cool hot rod or kustom brightens up the most boring pic.
    Thanks Kent.

Thanks Ron. Inside is like the time had stod still for at least 60 years.

Ha Ha.That´s a good one Dave.Might try that.

Hi Kenneth, great work youre doing there, you mentioned on Kippers thread about a winder for the front window and a lincoln dash, 35-38 fords, have a front winder through the dash and thats your problem, a 39 ford winds from the top, could be a solution,

I really can't stop looking at your shop pics. I'm starting to seriously consider a winter overhaul on my space.ive always wanted a more level sweep friendlier space and my equipment color matched.
