Neat stuff. I like the 'lil bandit in a soup can on wheels sticker.

  3. I've had this one since I was 10 years old. As you might guess, it had a huge influence on my first hot rod. :)

I bought a roadster like the one at the top for $5 a few weeks ago at a yard sale. Went home and looked on ebay and saw one for $65. That was my lucky find for the year.

Buddy L made some cool HOT ROD toys as well in the same scale, Tonka made some that were smaller. I bought a bunch of them before realizing I like my pre-war toys much better.

  6. I had many Nylint toys when I was a kid in the 80's. Unfortunately, none were hot rods. They were all trucks. They were of high quality..... I wish I stiil had them!

  7. I picked up the Lt. Blue Roadster without the WS frame for $5 at a garage sale years ago, I also bought a later ('98) Nylint roadster...

  14. Funny you should post this today. I was just looking at mine last night on the shelf thinking it would be cool and fun to literally build a full scale version of the Roadster duplicating the the shape, pressing, wheel tire combo, cycle fenders etc.

  15. I found the green RPU at a flea market a while back.......keeping an eye out for others now.
These things are so cool, thanks for posting!

It was kind of a shame but I cut one in half for a trophy. It did turn out pretty neat.

I have some Tonka ones I've collected over the years, but no Nylints. I'll have to keep an eye out now.
