cool car! I think what Vincent meant was that this Olds has been converted to a convertible by a european coach builder called Langenthal.
after one year my doc ask me if its possible to work on is olds and if i can find the original hood ornament after one monts i finally find one ornament the oldsmobile come to my home for work i instale this parts and change one or two thinks , my doc was very happy to find me , when i turn back the oldsmobile , i ask to my docs watt he want to do with this Ford , i look the don't don't nothing on this car and some shit come in the car, he tell me i don't no my mother like to have this car in the home and i understand, i tell him if one day you want to sale or to restore this car he can call me. after i come evry year for look my doc and all the time we talk about car i got lots of time for look the Olds and the Ford
I think you really need to go & buy a couple of lottery tickets. You just stumbled onto a major double-win there. & while your luck is running hot... . I find it increadable that those two cars survived WWII & the aftermath individually, much less together. I hope you can get them, & will take good care of them, they deserve it. Marcus...
Vincent, Thanks for the pictures of your docs' cars. He has some great ones! Looked at your cars and you have some cool ones too! Welcome to the HAMB and keep on enjoying the oldies. Randy
after many year my docs ask me if i still interest for restored the Ford i tell yes of cours he ask me some price for restore this car i check the car, we talk about price , and finally the rest of the family didn't want to restore this car, the have put lots of money in the oldsmobile. after one year more my doc call me again and ask me if i want to buy the Ford we talk with all family, and finally i buy this, car now i have this Car from 3 year . the Oldsmobile was a coupe and transform ate in convertible in langenthale last year my docs call me again his mother die and the rest of the family want money and not car he ask me if i can find some costumer for the Oldsmobile and i call to some friends and they buy the oldsmobile now i want try to post pics but its difficult for me !!!!!
Vincent 48, what a wonderful story. I wish you the very best in your effort to restore and own the 32, and I hope you find a good buyer for the Olds. Please keep us informed on progress.
Sounds more like the doc had two cars. On Oldsmobile and a '32 B400. He worked on the Olds and was eyeballing the '32.
Doesn't matter where you come from or how well you tell the story, it's all the same to us. Cool story and cool cars.
Amazing what survived the WWII in Germany. In 1962 there was in Furth a 32 B400 for sale on a carlot for $250. And from old town Nurnberg a senior student at Nurnberg American High School found and bought a BMW Mille Miglia Roadster from 1938.
thanks for all for sure when my doc show me his car i don't believe ok the oldsmobile was restored in the 70 and 80 but the ford didn't drive from 1959 and it was unrestored the Oldsmobile is build buy de langenthal carosserie before you can order in this place some new car ( this olds was a coupe )and ask for transformate in convertible
That's great, Vincent. Those are both incredible time capsules. What will you do with the Ford? Restore it to original, leave it as is, or hot rod ?
