This is a great thread. Thought I would show you a pic of my 51 L110. The truck has a Mopar drivetrain, 360 with mild cam and four barrel with automatic. The front suspension is Mustang II with 2" dropped spindles and rear suspension is leaf springs with lowereing blocks, frame is "C" notched.

That is great. And somehow the MoPar drivetrain just seems appropriate.

Is there an active vintage International truck online forum? I'm going to need advice for my '52 which is neither hot rod nor custom.

    TIA

In answer to the photo on post 319 on this thread, I built the Little Red Wagon that resides in Disneyland in 1986 together with Dan Pimental. We built two of them for Scooter Simmons who's dad originally built Pier 39 in San Fran. They were to be used there but he tried them for a few months then sold them off, one went to Anaheim, the other to Disney France. One is 4 inches longer than the other as I could not fit into the first one we built to the owners spec of 17ft. It runs a 350/350 combo and F250 rear. We built the chassis from scratch, and the beam axle was fabricated too. I am an Aussie and had just sold my Aussie Shop that was on Pier 39 when the project was offered to me. The only real stuff on the truck was the repro A Model front but Disney swapped this for T Model more in keeping with their theme.

    Hello, All:

Here are two 1950's International S-120 Series pickups located on some property my father-in-law owns in northwest Ohio. One is a 4-wheel-drive and the other is 2-wheel-drive and they both have straight-6's -- beyond that, I don't know very much about Internationals -- anyone see anything of interest? What year(s) are these?

The story goes that an old-timer was renting space in the barn from my father-in-law to store the trucks. The old farmer had intentions to restore (or at least "fix up") the 4wd and use the 2wd as a parts truck and was storing them in the barn until he got around to it -- you know how that goes. Time marches on and the old guy became ill and ultimately passed away. However, he had gotten behind on the rent and before he passed he gave the trucks to my father-in-law.

Flash-forward a few years and during a storm the old barn couldn't take the high winds and collapsed -- falling on, among many other things, the Internationals. ...and that's where they rest to this very day. I guess that makes them a barn find....of sorts! Kidding.

Anyway, attached are some photos of the barn and Truck #1 (the 4WD one) that I took this winter. I'll upload pics of Truck #2 (the 2WD truck) in a separate post.

Enjoy fellas -- and let me know what we have here. My interest in Internationals drops quite a bit after the 1940's, but there's just something about these that are calling to me -- if only to rescue what's left.

    -Jeff
