Great layout pattern. These are just beautiful!
Could the bead be polished and the rest of the casting be done in satin?
    Great job!

  3. Yes, I considered that on mine even. The quality of these castings is through the roof so I think polish shows it off best.

I'm sure you could just polish the bead. But I agree with Tman, the quality is very good. I'm going to fully polish the rest of my insert. I can't wait to get it done.

    You guys make me blush.

I've had quite a delay in getting more of these prepared for sale, as the workshop is in the midst of a rebuilt of sorts. I've got quite a list of guys that want a panel, and will go down the list as they become available. But remember I'm only making 32 of these panels, and 21 are sold and delivered. If there are any unclaimed after the list is depleated, I'll post an ad on the HAMB classifieds.

Come on all the rest of you who've bought one, POST YOUR PICS!

If these don't fit an A roadster dash well, how much trouble is installing a 32 dash in the A? I really want one and I guess I'll work out the details to make it fit.

I'm pretty sure I saw somewhere a repro deuce style dash for a model A. But I can't remember where. But it shouldn't be a problem to modify the model A dash so the insert will fit. You probably won't be able to use the stock mounted cowl gas tank though.

  8. X2. I'd buy one in a heartbeat.

The Alchemy dash is a quality part, well worth the price, I'm very happy with mine, fits my Brookville '32 in a '30-'31 panel just fine. It took some time to make a pattern and drill the holes in the Brookville panel after I drilled and tapped the Alchemy casting. I used some 7MM studs with some Bugatti nuts I had in my top draw, left over from the old days. Need to find a '32 column drop next. Bob

And that's the last of them folks. Paul has #32. Thanks to all that bought one of these. Only known about here on the HAMB, so if you see one, it's a HAMBer's.

  16. Thanks again. this is one Heirloom piece.

  18. Very nice work - here's an original dash with an anodized insert cnc engraved. The Pierce Arrow dash has the coolest little glove boxes on each end.

Has anybody gotten theirs done and mounted? Life has kind of caught up with me and mine has stalled. In the process of having a house built so all my stuff is in storage. Hopefully I will get back at it soon.

Mine still looks the same as the photo in post #101, need the column drop, but then I should hold off until the chassis and pedals are installed. Need to get everything centered. Bob

GoatRoper's A coupe has one in it. There's a current thread showing the progress of the build.

    A genuine work of art!

  30. Mine should be going into my A shortly. Here is it with the wheel and Sunbeam Speedo. I am going to have the center engraved by a rifle engraver I know.
