Technical Mallory ID help..

    Just picked this up, told it was model A - B, yes----no??

    Pete,

    That's correct. That's the dual point version of the Model "Y" that can be run on the model A/B banger motors. Pretty popular in the banger speed world.

  4. Looks like it to me. I'm pretty sure the "11" designation is for the A & B.

    Now hold on a sec. Drive is wrong for model A/B, and point cam looks like an 8 cyl. Hmmm.

    heres a partial list of mallory part numbers there is no 116bd listed but lots of other 116's

    Anybody else shed some light on this??

    Hell....I never even counted the lobes. Saw the 11 and the Model Y and jumped the gun.....sorry man...

    I think the drive could help tell what it fits. Cord maybe? Look up Cord Mallory on Ebay.

    Guess its a cord dist. just found this one on e-bay for $774-
    Different numbers but same dist.

  15. My cord knowledge is pretty weak...but didn't Cord use Cadillac flatheads?

    That might be so...the cord dist. is very close to the flathead cad.
