Greg, good to hear from you! That sounds good to me, I'll buy round 2, lol. Looking forward to b.s'ing with you as well. I may give you a holler before the show, you mentioned before you may have a couple of 94 carbs for rebuild. If you still have them I'd like to buy them still for my 37, I have 2 now and am still needing 2 more for rebuild for the 4x2.
    Cheers,
    Dean

The original shifter would have been too short to bend, plus I broke it trying:rolleyes: so I made one using the steering shaft from a 55 Chevy, the handle I whipped on my lathe, not sure it will stay, but for now it will do the job.

A HUGE thanks for all the helping my brother and dad have been giving me with final assembly and tying up loose ends. Couldn't be this far without them:cool:

LOL, thanks Don. Glad to be near the finish line, got 3 days left before it goes in the trailer down to the world of wheels.

What a day! Finished all the little things and got the car detailed for WOW, thanks again to my Dad and brother, still hard to believe we finished it. The best part of the day was driving that little coupe for the first time:D It rode great with the air suspension and it's got a LOT of jam, smoked the tires a few times:cool:
Got all moved into the show, here's a few pics.

Dean, Congratulations. The coupe looks fantastic. The interior turned out incredibly. It sounds like you were able to drive it to the WOW show, were you able to find much dry pavement to make it fun or was it a scary drive? Knowing what your roads can be like this time of year you are one gutsy guy. After all the time and money you've invested I'm glad you made it without incident. Your coupe's show pictures must have been from before the judging as there is no trophy beside it. I'm betting the trophy will be taller than the car. Now if spring would just hurry up so you can run the rubber of it. Endless accolades to you. Best Regards and Good Luck with all your endeavors., KB.

Wow, thanks for all the compliments on the coupe guys!

Thank you. The roads here are still pretty slick, my community is pretty dry so I only had a chance to burn around the neighborhood a little bit. We had it in an enclosed trailer to bring it to the grounds. I did have a little more fun there in the parking lots once we unloaded it and drove it in the building. The show actually doesn't start until today and runs all weekend. As for winning anything, I don't plan on it, just want to get the car out and show it off a little bit after all the hardwork:)

I think you need to drive it down to Spokane this summer. I want to see the look on the faces of the Border Patrol.

Wow man amazing! Congratulations! Hey do you have a picture of where your shifter comes through the trans tunnel? I was wondering if you are using a boot or leaving the linkage exposed?

I'm thinking of bringing it to Spokane this summer

    Thanks

    Thanks

I'll post one for you, I'm on the fence whether to use a boot or not, I'm contemplating adding a riveted piece to the tunnel to close the gap up and make it cleaner looking, I kinda like the industrial feel with the linkage exposed but still not sure yet. Thanks for the compliment.
