Swap out wheels and tires, and replace anything that is not supposed to be painted body color with chrome, and you should be good.
Personally I don't take my cars to shows. I will attend a run, a poker run or a cruise, but paying $$ to park so I can look at and talk about cars lost it's appeal back in the '70s.
Nothing personal Swuablow, but this is exactly why I don't go to "theme" shows! Whether "traditional" or "all Corvette" a man at the gate deciding what people want to see sucks!
Three good looking rides that I would be proud to own! People can say what they want about my Lincoln when it's on the road, but it came from the factory with power windows, and I bet it would have had power steering and A/C had it been available at the time. I believe you can look good and be comfortable doing it!
Bring ether one or both of your 32's to the All Deuce Run and they will fit in great with all the different styled Deuces that show up. HRP
Me and a Buddy of mine are hooking up with the Greybeards in June and going to the 50th LA Roadster show in Pomona....close to 5000 miles round trip for me.
I hang here because there is knowledge here that also works on off topic stuff, when I want to know about corvettes I go to a corvette forum, all is good!
First of all I like all your cars! You did not show us any engines, but your wheels and tires are street rod to me.
The drive to the show and back are sometimes more fun than the show themselves. I think some shows only allow traditional style cars so when you go as a group with cars like this some get left out.
Some of these shows seem to pick and choose what they feel is traditional and what isn't. You see bare metal cars, fake or real patina wide whites on radir wheels and that's okay ,I'm not knocking that style just questioning the rules. I think the original post just wanted to see we're his cars fit in according the hamb.
I'd have to agree with the street rod opinion , but just reading the title of the thread im glad to see that the awnser wasn't something s.t.d. related lol
ok..pretty much unanimous that their Street Rods............we can close the thread if you want......I've always considered them Street Rods.......regardless what they are.....I love to drive them and do very often...rain or shine.
Donnie, You can park any 1 ya want @ my place for the BBQ in June B4 LARS, but I'll be lookin 4 the roadster. Don
Just got my hood side panels on yesterday.......all I need to do is pack and I'm ready...the Roadster will be the one I bring........what are you taking....wait...that's 4 months..you could have changed cars a dozen times......even you don't know what your driving
Which is exactly the reason why other folks CHOOSE to attend so-called "theme" shows. That is what they want to see - be it traditional, muscle, etc. The spectators know what is inside just as much as the participants. Did anybody want to see a new Corvette at the Hunnert? Nope...
Gary, Fed over 30 hungry Hotrodders last year and everybody left with a full belly and dry diapers. They said they were still burpin BBQ when we got to Alby NM the next nite. Musta been purdy good.
Didja ever notice how many of the low slung, skinny tire, "statement" cars leave the event on Sunday on a trailer? I've sure passed plenty in my '40 coupe on the way home. 11,000 + miles in two seasons.
Tannergang, would love for ya'll to come down to Jasper to one of the first Saturday Cruise In's. I won't have my Lincoln there until hopefully later in the year, but we'll be in our OT 86 Vette until then. I'm sure your gang would fit in just fine!
Like a previous poster said, it's hard to get a good look at them from the photos but just based on the wheel/tire combo, I would call them street rods. They look bitchin though!! Hell, I'd drive 'em!!
I just took over the Steak and Shake Cruise In this year...Saturday night is our first Cruise for this year...I'm doing it with all volunteers....the club that had it was stopping it after 10 years, so I decided to keep it going with some friends........I made the Gadsden Cruise last year with the Johnson's Rod Shop bunch....we had a ball....I'll definately go back to it again....Let me know some info on yours...Here's the flyer for mine.
