Just returned from attending the 65th GNRS show in Pomona. It was a great show as usually with a wide assortment of rides. I will say those competition for AMBR was down and the winner was a step above the rest (even thou I hated the wheels). The majority of the rides were detailed but the fit and finish lacked at times (or mis matched paint) and most seemed like parts bought over the counter and just assembled. The cars were more normal in the level of craftmanship and not as much 'One Off' as we have seen in the high tech days. With that said, most I would gladly put in my garage and not be afraid to drive.

The one I would most like to have in my garage (and my style) was the light blue full fender roadster on chrome steelies and thin whitewall.

Many, many thanx for all the pix!

Now this particular car just blew me away! Do you know any more about the builder or the car? While it's not entirely all "me," it's easily 90 percent of the car I already have in my mind's eye for my 29 build, either with an I4 or V8, it sits perfect and has all that race car gear I like. Thanx again, Gary

This is owned by a guy in the Seattle area, just got it finished. It has some one off motor I believe. It was built by a guy in the midwest for him. The owner is really into race cars.

  21. Ken,I always look forward to your coverage of any event, you always seems to find cars that everyone else ether didn't see or they didn't appeal to them enough to photograph.

Thanks for taking the time to post. HRP
