I saw this JAP (J.A.P. ; Jap, ...?) quite a few times, but never noticed it has a wooden (bamboo?) steering column.:eek:

I've been studying all your pix of this car with a cyclekart in mind. Do you have any more pix that you haven't posted?

Fred, this car has some of the nicest lines I have ever seen. The proportions and flow ,to my eye,are perfect.Having said that I would not have held anything back in reserve on this one.

I feel the same way. I guessed you had posted all you had but then this one showed up so I had to ask.

Fred, absolutely no problem.More pictures pop up as the new owner starts exploring it.Like the Hendee/Wing VonDutch car.As the owner works on it and posts new pictures,I borrow them and post them here.

This Schaasche car has such great lines...and I'm thinking 2 seater,I'm wondering how it would look enlarged a bit. It's perfect the way it is.Have you seen pictures of the Majestic Special? Same thing. As a monoposto it rocks, enlarge it for an offset 2 seater and I think the lines will go away.

a new set i have on flickr is called Drillium ,,, its the art of drilling holes in items to make it lighter,, and possibly more dangerous you decide

if you have seen some of the Jappic work i have done will know I like holes ,, as Colin Chapman once said there is nothing lighter than a hole ,

I would think making a 2 seater of the Schasche would be great but it would make it look fat. Not too many cyclecars had side by side seating.

Now that looks like my Onan generator engine. I have thought about that engine as a possible cycle car engine.

So what is this Old Jack?
