Really nice start and really clean build!!! Love father and son builds. I would have given anything to been able to do that with my father when he was around. Looking forward to some more updates.

    Thanks a lot guys!

Thanks Jeffrey I really appreciate it. Im definitely super fortunate to have my Dad around to build this car. Its really fun learning things from him as well as teaching him some things. Sometimes I take it for granted that we're building this together. I try to make every day that we work on it as fun and relaxed as I can. I feel like we act like Paul Sr/ Paul Jr at times haha, but its because we haven't really built something this in depth together before. Its definitely a HUGE learning experience! The only thing holding me from working on it is xmas/new years so there will be plenty of updates soon. if you have any suggestions as to the design of the car I'd love to hear em from you. I think we both have a similar eye.

A few small updates from the past 2 weeks. Had to square the body on the frame. Finished working on the front feet, put a dumby block in with a 1992 700r4 to see where the firewall needed to be trimmed, replaced the back lower panel with a new one from Howells as well as got a pair of new wheel well patch panels. Needless to say Im pretty happy with the quality of the panels. The curve of the lower panel isn't 100% accurate so I'll have to do some work on that, but its damn close. The wheel wells look to be fine. The metal is nice and thick. Right now we're finally onto the rear sub rails which Ill post pics up once they're all finished.

Random hole in the subrail. Cleaned the edges and filled it in.

Sandblasted and smooth out the lower panel

Picked up a steel 32 shell w/ insert. Its definitely going to need at least 1.5" taken out of it to line it up with the cowl once the hoods on.

    Just a rough idea

    Mock up motor/trans

We made a template of the trans to hold overtop of the firewall to keep the trim as accurate as possible.

Stuck a set of my lincoln covers on for some shits

Here you can see where the head hits the firewall. We'll need to recess that as well as the area around the distributor.

Keep and eye out. We'll have the rear done soon!

Haha yeah me too! Crossing my fingers. If the car isn't finished I'd still love to just trailer it there in whatever state it's it regardless. We have a decent amount of time so anything can happen at this point.

Either way would be cool. One year ago today is when I put my body on the frame for the first time.... a lot of late nights.

  18. COOL! Im installing a 471 blower built by Gary Dyer on my Model A, getting her ready for spring. Will be racing and showing every chance I get. Try to bring your car to YORK NATS this year if you can.

Finished forming the new sub rails today. Looking forward to all the detail work to make it look like we didn't do anything in the first place.
