Thinking this thing would look good with Cheeta style front fenders running back near the door, Cheetah style headers beneath. Narrow the back roof some more, make the bed longer. Open hood sides would look cool too.

Thanks. You pretty much nailed what I'm going to try to do with my build. I've had a lot of people ask if I plan on chopping it and I really don't think I will. I'd like it to look like something the average guy might have built in the late 50's/early 60's.

I NEVER imagined that body style could be attractive. Sorry, originator of the thread, everyone's gonna like some things and not others; but that particular body style for me was so ugly it would never not be ugly. Until now.
    Impressive looking.

  4. Thanks VERY MUCH, Bob and Themoose! You confirmed on paper (or rearranged electrons, to be precise) what I'd hoped. :)

Would someone please change the roof to a
Apple green color, a pink roof and maybe a purple roof.
Please let me know if you have any other roof color ideas
    Thanks Jeff

Speaking of Italian roof swaps, here's an idea I had a long time ago:

Can someone please put these wheels with low profile tires on my car please. I'm trying to make up my mind. Thank you so much.

I'm getting ready to do the rust repair on my '50 and my body guy recommended painting the bottom a contrasting color (below the stainless trim). The top will remain the same green with 64 year old patina it's earned.

The car will be lowered 5" front and rear and have Foxcraft skirts. Color suggestions?

Hello talented photoshop peoples! I've had my wagon on here a few times, and was hoping that one of you would be willing to change the paint scheme for me? I'm thinking dark blue roof with lots of flake and the rest of the car in Marina blue. Many thanks in advance! ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1390491290.510704.jpg

Oh man that looks cool, thanks a million! How about an off-white? I just picked a quick color to shoot the wheels, they'll be covered with original Hollywood flippers and trim rings so you'll see very little (if any) of the wheel color.

    I'll play.

Perhaps not the exact wheels you wanted, because that's not what the HAMB is about; but if you really want low-profile radials on big-inch wheels, how about painting the wheels white and floating cross-bar Lancer hubcaps over them?

Can someone please paint my entire car and front bumper satin black? The only thing that would stay chrome is the mustache and grill. And then another option with chrome bumpers and satin black car? I'm torn between painting or stripping this ugly-ass primer and hoping for the best. No idea what the chrome looks like underneath and already found major bondo in the rear bumper.
    Thanks!

Thanks a lot, moose. I really prefer the chrome, but unfortunately when stripping today i found a ton of filler in the front bumper and in the dagmars. This sucks, look like i have to go with painted bumpers.

    Chrome paint?

  28. I'd also say go for chrome paint, or a satin silver, then paint the car a satin shade too, so it matches.

Shop around some junkyards and on eBay, look for some used ones that haven't been painted. Even if they're worn or dinged up, some weak chrome will look better than any painted version.

Even if you could just find a pair of half way decent uppers for the front bumper, then paint the lower piece like a rolled pan, would look nicer than all painted.
