Found this on Colossal an Art and Visual website

"Paradise Parking is a new series of work (and soon to be book by the same title) by American-born, Paris-based photographer Peter Lippmann. The photos capture abandoned cars in a state of complete decay as each is gradually consumed by nature. The works will soon be on display in Brussels courtesy Gallery Sophie Maree. 5. A1, that Olds is no doubt rusted into a solid piece of ferric oxide. If you have a lot of spare time it might be fun to attempt to dismantle it. That last one looks like the '40 Plymouth I had back in the late '70s; it had those weird upper suspension arms.

  6. With all the Toyota's and BMW's in the world to crush there is no excuse for this kind of horror.:(

Yes the upper control arms are a key thing, last year there was a fender on it that was kinds like a 30's type car and nothing like a 40 plymouth
would have had. I think it may have been some type of truck. I has and interesting rear under it that resembles a baby 9" and also has two leaf springs under it that are solid 1 1/8" thick and 1 1/2" wide that I found very odd.....
The olds block is freeze cracked...not sure if anything on it is good...

At the back end of the school bus is an El Camino. Some one put a Laguna Type S3 nose on it.

Sad part is that guy would probably want $3,000 for that.

That Chevy is a 51 or 52, if you have a shot of the grill I can tell you.

The Hemi sounds like they will let me just take it, the 56 New Yorker it came from is still on the farm too, but it's been sitting on its side since the 60's.

  22. So the question that begs to be anwered from all this is what cars of the last decade will some day be tomorrow's yard art?

Only thing is with all their plastic and aluminum, they will probably never really rot!

  23. ...tried to buy/save this Falcon a few years ago, never could find anyone around and they wouldn't respond to notes I left; gone now, probly got scrapped...it still had a six in it.

I would grab that hemi as quick as I could then :D

I entertained the thought of a hemi when I was building my dragster but I soon realized I could either spend money on a complete engine thats been sitting outside in the dirt under a tarp for 30 years or buy a 1000HP capable SBC rotating assembly. I chose the rotating assembly.

Here's the grill, which now looks like a 51 with the little vertical bars there:

Once the snow is gone I'm going for it, if only for yard art at least it's not in the scrap.

That Chev is definitely a 51!

  28. yeah id go for it. I mean id get it just for the valve covers, I always loved those. id pull that 51 as well. those make some awesome kustoms
