Thought this was worth sharing. Jump started a 2010 Audi with full computerized airbag set up with the wagon. Took everything that generator had! ImageUploadedByH.A.M.B.1388468487.347694.jpg

Soon to be busing the kids about, my first old car project. First, seatbelts. Leftover parts to be applied: Narrowed 9", some combination of spindles, rotors, balljoints and such, some seat work.

Trying to sort out some new wheels now. My axles and rotors are 4 3/4" pattern now...it's what I've got.

I had to laugh a bit when I saw this. Somewhere in my photos I have a picture of my old Maverick jump starting my parent's 41' diesel motorhome! I called it I think I can, I think I can.... And it did!

We drive a '63 Falcon Wagon home a few weeks ago. It appears to be all stock. I'm hoping to beef up the drivedrive, brakes and suspension so we can pull a small vintage camper trailer. The first thing we are going to do is fix up the interior a little w/ new seat covers. I'm looking at a '79 Granada for a donor car. I'll still need to find a narrower 8" rear axle.

The car doesn't look this good. I think this photo was taken a couple owners ago.

Started the final phase on my Falcon; bodywork. But after getting a good start on the worst of it, the engine on my Austin gasser developed a knock. So now I have to drop off the Falcon and do a rebuild on the Austin's 327 before it totally lets go.
I'll shoot some primer over the bare metal to keep things from flash rusting for now, and get back to it in a month or so.

The two rear fender lips I did on the radius are the next time consumers.

Nice wagon. The axle you want is an early 70's maverick 8" which is already the correct width. I found mine pretty easily on craigslist.

260, Cruisomatic, 3:10 rear (still has the tag) , original/correct chrome valve covers/air cleaner cover.....Ran the data tag- build date 7/30/63 engine assembly date 6/30/63. Loraine, Ohio assembly plant.

It's had a repaint, Rangoon Red, black interior-all original, Ford marked glass, never was undercoated, NO RUST!

He even got the fender skirts with it....

The Virginia safety inspection sticker receipts in glove box go back to 1974- there is no doubt in my mind that this car does, in fact have 31,000 original miles....

I posted it in my introductions post, but I finally managed to get it home to CT from NJ.

Also, not technically a Falcon - sorry.

Going to start by changing fluids this weekend and chasing what I think is a vacuum leak causing it to stall just after start and stumble on acceleration.
