great find--as stated by many the 57 unit with a 905 dist is big bucks--the 61 4900R is a more drivable unit. Should be able to get serious $$ from the 57 unit--is it a 4800 or the earlier variation.

I saw that car on CL. The price wasn't out of line. Nice job rescuing it.

Heading to Cincinatti Cavelcade of Customs. 50 miles west of Indy with ice & snow covered roads, maybe the state snow plow drivers called in sick? Interstate 74 west of Indy worst I have seen it in 30 yrs.

If you at Josh Shaw's "Survivors Alley" stop & say hi. I will have a display against the wall of American Rebel wheels, aluminum club plaques & a few 6x2 intakes with Stromberg 97 carbs.

Nice find, I love the period paint. That car would be 300% less cool and interesting restored. The odd ball survivor custom 'vettes make me want one.

Stopped by the car at Cavalcade a couple times didn't get to talk to ya Bob.
The car was even more COOL in person! My brother had the 50 olds 88 across the isle from ya.

Might have missed it, but do you have a good picture of the exterior paint job after you cleaned it up. It makes this car ohhhh so interesting. Thanks in advance...

Okay heres the details! 1965 283 motor, 1958 fuelie unit, 1958 Distributor! Found Regs in glove box! Last registered owner bought in 1975 & parked it in 1984 Oil change slip 1972 car had 72,300 miles & now 85,229 so guessing orig miles on car! Car was loaded when left Dealership Fuelie, Wonderbar Radio, Power Windows, Soft top, Hard Top! Why would it get Motor swap? I'm thinking Stolen & stripped! Hey Guys! Read all the posts! As long as Solo Speed Shop owns it! It will never be restored to stock! TQQ CQQL to be a stock Corvette! Don't get me wrong I like nice cars! But if they have been tricked out or Hot Rodded why go back? Just let them stay CQQL! Hope you understand! Bill
