Congrats again, Dave, Jo, and all involved -- such an awesome car!

  2. .

    Thanks guys.

I posted on Facebook that making the cover was a car guys equivalent to winning a gold metal in the Olympics - just without my face on a Wheaties box or any big commercial endorsements.

Within a few Minutes of my post, my buddy Martyn (Captain Scarlet) sends me this.

McGaffin shot the interior in the lot outside JoKerr fab and we did the rolling shots on the east side of Brownsburg. I drove Robert's F-150 and he shot out of the bed. Anyone who has taken the east Brownsburg exit off I-74 to IRP (Lucas Oil Raceway....whatever) has driven the same road. We got busted by a Brownsburg cop who told McGaffin that he could not lean over the side of his truck while rolling. The cop was too busy making that point to notice that the coupe was running without plates.

    Congrats Dave
I've followed your thread on the HAMB and watched your build come true.
I've meet you a number of times from Billetproff to Detroit to the Revival. You don't really know me but you always taken the time to talk to me and explain your car.
People like you get it and are a asset to the HAMB. Bruce

  7. I had heard of your little "run in" with the law. Thanks for your help Rooman. I wish I could have made it down for the shoot but I was swamped at work.

    Yes, yes he does!
Thanks Jeff. Looking forward to seeing you incredible 5-window getting finished.

There Bruce I fixed it for you. :D;)

Thanks for the kind words. I love meeting new people and talking with everyone at the shows.
    Love your car BTW.

When Jeff gets his car finished, we should have a 5W get together.
It would be great to put a face on all these great cars.

  12. Every time I see your coupe, I think of how bad ass it sounded cruising around at the Rodders Journal show that weekend. Congratulations!

I had one installed in the car, instead of the roll bar.

You said you were surprised to get on the cover,..... back in '01 I wound up on the cover of Rod & Custom. Now that was a surprise. Big difference was that you car got there for the quality of workmanship and vision of the build. Mine was the as a $885 joke. Still loved it tho. I saw your car last year at the Sins of Steel show in Davisburg. Kinda knocked my sox off. Beautiful job. Maybe see you again. Norm

I saw the car close up last May at Beatersville in Louisville and had the chance to talk at length with Jo Kerr. As nice as the SR feature is, it doesn't do the car justice. It would take a 6 page spread to really present this remarkable hot rod.

  28. The Posty just delivered mine today, congrats on the cover shot and on a great Hot Rod.
