Something along the lines of this... True knock-offs... Hubs will included obviously.

Whoa. Way, way cool! Now I see why the car's era is so important and my roadster build is definitely out!

Sadly, quite a few as well. I looked at them and I seriously can't imagine them on the typical Pre War hot rod. It will be interesting to see what car & owner win these. Regardless, they are beautiful.

  12. I think whatever car they end up on, had better have a track nose, belly pan and be low slung. Zach Suhr's track nose roadster comes to mind...

Bulletnose, assuming that's your car in your avatar, I'd think you're in the running as well. Looks nice.

Holy Shit, have never seen Zach's roadster, that thing is bitchin'. My vote has changed, good thinking Chris!

  20. When you're done showing them off, give me a call and I might buy a set for my roadster. I'm looking for something different.

Wow, Thank You for the compliment.
Mine is not in the running.
SBC, 4 link tube axle, and glass body.
There are some truly beautiful cars in the running, and very period correct.

I fully agree. That car (or one similar) would be a perfect showcase for a set.

  23. I've noticed Austin Healey, Jag's and the Allard have similar wires.

The wires on the car Ryan posted look more 'European' to me. I wonder if, considering the initial pre or early post war roadster /modified stipulation if they won't end up looking more Buffalo or Houk.

Edit: after looking at the picture some more and thinking about why those wheels look European to me, I think a lot of it has to do with the diameter. 16" or smaller tends to look that way to me. 18" and up looks earlier, more prewar dry lakes.
