Not just 3 but .... I've got a 57 Dodge 325 built in one corner and a 62 Ply 318 being built - however getting pics is a bit hard
I have some 270 Poly parts if you need them, heads rods valve covers front cover. I parted one out for the block for my hemi
Sorry can't help you. I've got 2 hot rods with polys but they're both later 318's. Got a 60 in my T-bucket and a 63 in my 32-5w coupe plus a few other engines and blocks rolling around in the shed.
Heres the 2 four equipped 318 Poly in my old 59 Plymouth. Backed by a 3 speed with working overdrive. This was a fun car to drive. Gary
A bit ratty but here is the King of all Poly's - the 1958 'S' 4 barrel 354 making the highest factory rating of any Poly.
Heres my 318 Poly.......the small pic is the only one I have when it ran an original cast iron twin 4 intake with a pair of Offy Cross Ram adaptors and a pair of 600 Holleys back in the late 70's........its been running a single Weiand intake & 600 holley for the past 35yrs but I have another castiron twin 4 intake and a pair of Edelbrocks...........the 318 polys been in the 1940 Dodge since 1973..........andy
Hey John, I bet you're pleased AND very lucky to have those air-cleaners. I have never seen a pic of that set-up before. How about a pic of the car?
Beautiful car there John. Great to see that it is out and about and being used. Was the dual-quad set-up an option for only the 57 Fury models?
Good Evening Swifty........those 57 Fury aircleaners are the same basic aircleaner as used on the 1957 Chrysler 300C.......except the Chrysler's bolted straight onto the carbys, Plymouth used those weird offset angle extensions..........BigM........seeing that engine in your daily driver appears to have had some use........I'll be my usual generous self and offer to take it off your hands......do you pack?......also?.......lol.........mate..........you are a lucky guy having that as a DD..........best regards.........andyd.
because the chamber is kinda like two small hemispheres , or two small chambers one for exh and one for int. poly meaning two. the combustion chamber shape is way ahead of its time, although primitive in its contouring its kinda the ancestor of the performance heart shape type chambers we get today in our sbf and sbc aftermarket heads.I pick up my 270 this saturday and will post some pics, ive been waiting 8 months for it now, the exitement is growing.
