I tried to keep it simple and not have the interior be a pain when I get around to it. Factory garnish moldings may not fit in the back though as I didn't have any to fit but I'll probably just make some.

    Thanks and thanks.

Someday I'll have to figure out the multy quote thingy.

  3. Every time I look I see more. I just noticed the wheel arch moved up.
Really nice work and a PITA too I bet.

Multiquote, say there's 2- hit multi on first one and quote on second.
Say there's 40, hit multi on everyone and qoute on the last.

Yes it was, if my memories correct, I moved them and the lower bustle up 2" and foreward 1" which allowed me to avoid making pie cuts because of the taper. Also let me move the body back on the frame 1" while keeping the stock wheelbase.

Thanks for the tip and here's a couple pics of the door jambs I forgot to post earlier

And here's a method I use to drill decent holes with a holesaw, someday I'd like to get some Greenlee's.

Floor and trans tunnel. Figured rolling beads might not be all that necessary with all the steel underneath.

New wheels are 15X5 1/2" and 15x6" Keystone and ET composites with round spokes just like the old American Magnesiums painted graphite in the center and polished lips. Tires are 5.60 and 7.00-15 firestones from Coker with hand painted letters.

Grille is a 1/8" band made in 6 pieces, corners and sides. Welded the center material from behind and made polished bars out of 1/2" aluminum rod.

Ruined a full set before I got the drilling and tapping part right.

Wanted a 1/4" polished stainless ring on the front but had trouble getting things to fit right, maybe later.

Also never been one to hang a name on a car but I was just checking out old commercials on youtube and this toy from 1964 has a pretty nifty moniker.

Also found a use for this creepy little mini lantern. Looks to be some kind of old auto accessory from the 20s, 30s, 40s?

Thanks, shooting for a mild early 60s show rod vibe rather than a drag car now.

Thanks again and a few more details.

Forgot to mention that my new headlights I got from SoCal, pretty sure are made by Arrow are not only touted to be U.S. made but pretty cheap too and all my grille bars were mounted with little rubber spacers, actually faucet washers in a 25 pack from Ace. Fit the #10 screws perfect.

Boy howdy that looks great and makes me feel like a real slacker on mine. I'm going to have to study your photos real close to see how to do the inner structure on mine.
