Actually lucked into a new 3rd Generation from my local gunshop.

I have a 1901 in .41 caliber my dad left to me years ago so I wanted a new companion for it.

There is actually an 18 to 24 month wait from the Custom shop at Colt and they aren`t taking any new orders at this time so I got lucky.

Wasn't gonna get anything this year but when I saw this with a buy-it-now price on the auction site, I had to have it for the '37. It arrived yesterday and, yeah, I paid too much but I'm still happy.

A Magpul SOG stock for my Mossberg 590 and a set of drill bits for the garage. I did get a pocket full of gift certificates that may go towards a new piece of shop equipment though.

I need to stop and pick up a new batch of tennis balls at Petco as my granddog Ernie is coming to visit while the kids are out of state over new years.

  12. Pair of NOS 15x14 Halibrand Sprint wheels - I had been looking for a pair for a while to fit to my NOS Firestone 5.30/17.00-15 Indy tires (can you say 70's T Bucket?). I had missed a pair earlier this year and luckily found these during an online search - they are supposed to be shipped today and I should see them just after New Year's day!

I bought this 1964 Christmas issue of Hot Rod magazine on Ebay. I had this same issue (new) pulled out of my hands in Mr. Betterman's high school chemistry class because I was trying to read it during a film about 'covalent bonds' or something, zzzzzzz.

I never got to read that issue. After all these years I got my magazine back so, "Screw you Mr. B."
