  1. Damn nice work and a really nice cab to start with. Kinda motivating me to keep my 32 panel truck and fix it.

Might I ask what the seat is out of ? I have a 31 PU and your seat looks like it might work well in mine as well.

  3. I went back and forth about wood or metal in the bed. I settled on metal since I had to build a hump for the quickchange clearance. 20ga paint grip did the job again. Bent the rear lip/offset with some square tubing, clamps, rubber hammers, and wood. Hey, use whatcha got right!

Here's the hump I had to make. This one was a head scratcher, too. Needed it to look decent since it's right out in the open, right in the middle of the bed. Lot o' pieces to make that dang thing.

For runners, or bed strips, whatever ya wanna call 'em, I used some 3/4" stainless half round. The ends were ground, filed, sanded, and polished. More time consuming work. But, it's for a good cause!

I made a fixture to weld the 1/4" studs to the back of 'em. I drilled down in the bar just enough to get a good countersink to weld in. They welded up no problem.

Then added the fuel tank. Coyote Gear, in Arizona I believe, is the tank manufacturer. It fit nicely between the bed sides. The spun finish was way rougher than it should have been, though. If you slid your hand across it, it would actually grab the skin, even on ol' rough hands like mine. I almost sent it back, and probably should have.

I drilled and tapped something like 50 holes for the 10-24 stainless button head screws that hold the sheet metal down in the bed, around the perimeter, across the back, and then for the hump. Tell me THAT wasn't some good times.

  6. I am blown away with all the cool fabrication you have done,,this is one of the coolest pickups I have seen. HRP

  7. I made a light bar out of a rough old original I had. I cut it down, welded it up, and bent it to what I wanted so I could at least see if it would work. Worked so good I cleaned it up and used it. Workin' with watcha got!

  12. Funny you should mention that. The ground is so hard here in this part o' Georgia. Notice that I put that tie-down on it to make sure it didn't take off on me:D. It's a tad down hill right there, but it's hard to tell. That helped.

No full fendered here, lettin' them puppies breath!

  13. fatboys69 - the seat is a cut down and narrowed third row seat out of Dodge minivan. Easy to do. An S10 seat will cut down easy and fit good, too.
