Hi Everyone, new to the site.....well, been poking around for some time but thought, I would finally introduce myself.
My name is Tim, I live in So. Ca. and interested in building a traditional Hot Rod, 30-31 Coupe vintage, with a "Flattie".
I found this site through the Ford Barn, been there for the last 3-4 years.
I restored a 48 F-1 and rebuilt the 8BA in it and had a great experience and learned a lot. So, I have been collecting parts and reading several books about hopping up the Flattie, which leads me to my first question, I found and purchased a 8CM from one of the follow Hambers (I think that how ya say it)
that lives in Kansas, I would like to know what the best way (lowest cost) is to get to Ca. I tried "Fastenal Shipping" and for some reason, they are not coming to Ca. at this time, any help or advise would be appreciated!
Oh, also have my eye out for a 30-31 Coupe project that someone may have lost interest in or is ready to part with.

Thank you to all, nice to be welcomed!

Boomchain, any tips, ideas or photos of your build would be GREAT! Since I 'm still fresh from my engine build, I decided to start there,I will build the engine first.
I'm still researching frame and body ideas. I know, I want open wheel very traditional look.
