I have to give a nod to Direct Sheetmetal for their floor pans and firewalls. I used them on my '36 sedan. All is well.

I have the tooling for casting the Roadster/Phaeton windshield posts if there is enough interest in doing a run of 15 pairs. They are cast in Silicone Bronze which finishes
nicely for plating. I lost my machinist so they will require drilling and tapping the mounting hole by the buyer. I used to make these for the Fairlane Co. when they were building the fiberglass Roadsters.

everybody is waiting on drake. the 1940 coupe fenders he was selling for a minute were 800.00 each or a pair for 1400. hopefully he can stay with that pricepoint. if anyone hears news, post it here!

Anyone know who makes these 35/36 coupe inner fender repair panels with the original indentions?
(I borrowed this pic from another site.)

Also looking for who makes the lower 6 to 9 inches of the A and B pillars.

Good idea of a thread Nate. So often you have to really dig around trying to find things. I dont have a lot to add but here it goes.

The patch panels I used were:
EMS rear tail pan. Inner and outer. The fit was decent I thought. I didnt think the bead was as crisp as the original but thats all there is. Im glad somebody makes these. I did have to make the rest of the panel all the way up to the trunk.

    Howell's Sheet Metal -
I used the cowl patch panels. I thought these were pretty good quality and the fit worked out great.
Quarter patch panels - I used a little as possible. These were not that close to original. The bead was really just a different shape then what ford made.

The rest of the panels I made my self. Which was rocker and floor patches. I would of loved to use bradley floors but I didnt want to wait a year + to get them.

I asked the NZ poster with the inner panel pic and his response to my PM was no one sold them aftermarket but I have new some panels from a project I bought that had been sitting for many many years so my thought is someone sold them in the past.

Anyone popping out a '36 Ford Roadster dash out of metal?

  23. We just purchased a series of fiberglass molds for 35 36 Ford open cars and have somewhere in the inventory a stock dash and a smoothie dash. After the first of the year we will know better where we are at.
We have a full body for a roadster, cabriolet, club cabriolet, Phaeton and a boatail speedster.

    Hi Uptown 83,

Which EMS Tail Pan did you install? Any installation tips? I am doing a 1936 Club Cabriolet. My original has a nasty old patch thru the reveal topped with 1 inch of lead, the bottom edge is shit and the wrap around to the sides is also toast. I also thought that the bead was not as sharp as Henry's but overall it looks decent. It would be hell to make this piece by hand.

I bought this hand made rear '36 Ford Roadster section from carbuilder here on the HAMB. It's a shame to cut it up but I only need the convertible top part where the top would sit to a couple inches from the top of the deck lid opening. Looks like I will have the left & right quarters, trunk opening and rear duckbill area to sell or trade if anyone is interested. I was told it is made out of the same gage metal as an original Ford Roadster. Rear fender NOT included......................

Lon yes that is made of 19 gage as the originals were. If I get caught up on some other projects then I have (2) 36 roadsters to build 1 restoration customer's & 1 custom my crushed roof 5 window into a roadster some time in 2014 I will be on them both. Then I will be gearing up for hand formed major panel section builds
