i mean it doesnt take time to write down a few words in posting ... i mean if i post a pic, i write a name or a brief description to eliminate guess wrote ( and it doesnt put pain me to do so )

My right click does not have that option, either. I am certain we two are not the only ones with this absent tool. I am glad I didn't ask how to do it for fear of getting bashed for it.

Me two. I wasn't going to comment. But some of us apparently can't do everything that others can to find information. I just look and enjoy what's here. Thanks everyone for the photos, the info, and the attempt to help the rest of us..

Also thanks for those later comparison photos. Makes things even more interesting. Just don't overdo them. Please.

Just the caption, no other information...wonder how many volunteers there were for this job??

P-38 Crash, no other information...sometimes this happened when one engine failed on takeoff, and if the pilot didn't make very quick adjustments, the one remaining engine just screwed the plane into the ground...

Just the caption on the photo, this may have been Crissy Field, near the Presidio, which remains as a historic site today.

Looks like there is wreckage here from two aircraft. Wonder if it might have involved a mid-air collision or collision on the ground.

Sad to see that our prolific friend Mr Southurn has achieved the dreaded status of BANNED. I guess he musta posted something that had too much cleavage or snatchage or something.
Ah well, them's the rules, I guess.
Thanks for all the entertainment over the past year or so.
    Cheers.

Does that mean all of his great pictures here also disappear? He posted a lot of great things. Rules are made for reasons so I guess there were reasons.
This is my main source of enjoyment on this forum. Let's try to keep it clean and trouble free. My only gripe are those members who must add a few kinky words to the girlie photos or other posts with several photos.

Say it ain't so! I hope it wasn't for going off on one or more of the whiners.

  26. What a disservice to that sign. Even though it is not an American car company that would be a neat sign adapted to their brand in the old neon style.

I noticed that too, or possibly this was the purposeful crushing of US warbirds just after WWII ended, there were too many to fly home so in some cases they either buried them or crushed them with bulldozers...didn't even drain the oil or fuel so sometimes they caught fire.

...or it could have been a mid-air crash...no other information on the site
