Headed down Friday from UT to hit the Pomona swap meet. I know the mooneyes show is going on saturday, but what else should a couple of hillbilly's do/see while down there for the weekend? Only interested in car stuff. Don't care about the beach. Looking for cool get togethers, bbq's, dive bars, cruise nights, etc. Anything happening Friday or Sat night?

  2. Derilect Donuts, very, very early Saturday mornings, I think in Huntington.

I was on a job in California last year about this time. I had a good time talking with people making fun of the way I talk. I am a west Texas refugee with a w. Texas drawl. Litteraly had to have one of my welders from California tell a young lady at the cafe what I was saying. Had a good time from then on. The only place they understood me was Mexican food restaraunt when I spoke Spanish. I talk about like I type-not very good.

It was funny. I ordered ICE Tea[with my west texas drawl]. She said excuse me! like she was offended. My buddy started laughing and said he wants Ice tea[like they say in california]. She started laughing and said,Of "I thought he said I want some ass please! I ask him if I was that hard to understand and he said Yep! Oh well

Trip went great! Sold almost everything we brought down. Met up with Tall Paul, his father in law that talks with his arms, and several other HAMBers. Didn't take too many pics because we were swamped the whole time getting rid of stuff. Had a couple scores though!
