  4. '56 Belair I used to own . After it was sold I heard it got exported to Australia.

    It was preceded by the '39, pulled it apart to Rod it and never finished it .. Waste of a good car that was .

    This 33 coupe was built in Portland Or, in the early 50's, by a guy named Clair Heaton, he did run it at the drags,(note the shoe polish number on the drivers side glass). Aside from the rear axle location, it is one of my favorites, the grille was shortened and narrowed I believe. Quite a profile, I think of it as an early (unchopped) version of Tom Prufer's "Cop Shop Coupe".

    Dusty, that 56 was owned by a guy in our club for a while . It was truly a mint car!

  16. Here is my 57 E Code survivor. I bought it in S. Cal from the 2nd owner who had owned it since 1958. I bought it in 2005. The picture at the track was taken at the Byron Meltdown this year.

  19. Thanks for that, I bought it in 1979 (Amberley) and sold it in 1987 (ChCh). It was a beauty and performed fabulously.

    I just love those old style NZ license plates - don't see too may around now and out of my fleet I have one left on an old black and white set.

    The 41 is Pitch Black Dupont Centari acrylic enamel
    The 40 is BMW Avus Black Glasurit urethane acrylic.
    The ground is snow white by mother nature.
