    Wow, what a Great collection of photos! Lots of cars I had forgotten about. There was an old car at Thompson last spring with no motor or trans that looked an awful lot like that altered wheelbase shoebox ford, the "Glass Menagerie" on page 38. Thanks for posting this! :D

    Man,those are great. Edgewater is the first drag strip I ever attended in 1981. It's still open, right?

    Yep. Still alive and well. We (Cincy Street Rods) still host our Hot Rod Drags there every August.

    Remind me next year and I'll bring down a caravan of Columbus guys. It looks like a nice place( I don't remember much about it).

    Spent MANY a night of my misspent youth prowling the pits! Not as many as I would have liked though! Very cool pictures THANKS for the outstanding post!

    Is his car the same car that was repainted etc and:
    1957 Corvette red race car (i.e. vin # E57S101335) (i.e. picture attached) that was sold to Canadian person George Pascoe in 1978. CAR WAS REGISTERED IN OHIO IN BROWN COUNTY (i.e. Ohio Registration number in 1976 was . 09035078. Black seats. Car never had roll bar and is genuine original fuel injection car. Replacement 327 cu. in. engine. with exhaust headers and collectors. Car had “I” BEAM front suspension lift. Was a factory heater delete car. No radio or antenna in 1978. Large Morosso hood scoop. Americain Thrust Mag Wheels. Morosso Tach on drivers side dash




    was sold to Canadian person George Pascoe in 1978. CAR WAS REGISTERED IN OHIO IN BROWN COUNTY (i.e. Ohio Registration number in 1976 was . 09035078.



    Originally from factory car was a red three speed fuel injected car.
