Projects 1958 Chevy Truck Brake Return Spring

Help! I'm pulling my hair out trying to find a OE stock style brake pedal return spring for my 58 Chevy Truck. It runs between the eye on the brake pedal and hooks to the back side of the booster mount on the frame.

I've searched about all the parts suppliers out there with no luck.

Does anyone know where I can get one?

Might see if you can find a universal clutch return spring, and cut and bend it to length.

Or at a local hardware store, such as Ace Hardware. That's where mine came from. It wasn't O.E.M. but it worked.
