I saw his last activity here was January. I can't think of anyone on this board that was "currently" (living) into traditional period correct hot rods more than Aussie Steve. I would go so far to say that he was somewhat of an authority on the subject.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ I agree! I know Steve from when I lived in Colorado. He truly lives in the traditional hot rod world, no faking it. Dude is one of a kind.
He was when he lived here too. His '32 roadster was running caps, rings, whitewalls and scallops in the 80's when no-one, but no-one, knew what he was about. Damn nice bloke.
Steve is the real deal! Not only is he a true traditional hotrodder, he's also a great fabricator. I'm glad to call him a friend..........
Steve Dowsett. He had a thread on here a little while back called something like "Old Aussie Photos", which all us aussie guys were enjoying, then it disappeared and so did he.
I last saw him at Bonneville in August during Speedweek... As always, great to see him and great to BS with. Such a good dude. Malcolm
