I want to see pics of cars painted with John Deere blitz black paint and any tips people have on mixing it would be really helpful, thanks. Posted using the Full Custom H.A.M.B. App!
I used it on my '51 Shoebox seems to be fine, it goes on a little heavy but flows out real nice. Just follow the Mfg. mixing instructions and you should be OK. I tried to post some pictures. But no luck, I would use it again for sure. Jim
Here is my Merc truck I painted years ago. I would recommend less reducer, I found that it flowed out very thin. Very durable paint and cheap. I believe it was less than 70 bucks for a gallon of paint and a gallon of reducer. Good luck...
Check out Kirker 's Hot Rod Black. About the same money. Acrylic Urethane at about $62.00/gallon. Activator at about $24.00/ quart. No reducer needed , just activate and spray. I havn't used this stuff but Hotrodprimer on here says this is the stuff so I looked it up and think I will try this stuff on my Stude project. What I have heard is that you can't repaint over the blitz black without stripping it off first so if a repaint is in the future, it might not be the thing for me.
Just need the right product. http://www.wizardsproducts.com/store/product.php?productid=12&cat=0&page=1
