OK, the first of these, I'm calling Australian - it looks like a 37 Sedan buried in the shopfront - number plate and taillight on the right side, plus what looks like a Victorian reg plate. Prouds sign in the background suggests Melbourne - can't think of the street though - perhaps Bourke St?.
The other one looks like an old Pilot - also RHD and with a country house in the background suggests Oz to me, though a few other places might claim it.

Thats right. I took that pic and all the others on that link backin Oct 1973. The location is a wrecking yard in the township of Bathurst New South Wales which I understand is long gone. I went there for the Hardie Ferodo 1000, a 1000km car race held there at that time.

 

Glad to see Ford isn't using a EMD (GM) locomotive. It's an Alco, I believe.

I agree the first picture is Australian, but the number plate is New South Wales series from 1937 to 1950's, not Victoria. My notes with the picture claim it is possibly Liverpool Street, Sydney in the 1940s.

The car inconveniently parked in the drain after going through the rail is sporting a Victorian number plate.
