Cabbage and potatoes will do that to you.

Even at that they have smiles on their faces - Probably don't even know they are poor - I didn't know I was raised poor until well after I left home.

Look at the oil stripes! Motorcyclists must have had a rough time on wet days.

So what makes you think it was true and not some revisionist crap from a guy with a hard on for TR? Oh, I know, it was on the internet so it had to be the truth. BON JOUR!

Yes, they were. Look at the length of the doors.

Going through some old photographs the other day I ran across this picture I took of my Uncle Vernon in 1960 with his '51 Studebaker. It's not very pretty, and the gas station sign on the door doesn't help, but it was really fast for its time. It held the E stock strip record at the local drag strip and sometimes he would run it in D stock just for the hell of it and usually won that, too. Notice the 4 trophies lined up on the hood in the picture. This is the car I learned to drag race in when I was about 15.

Enormous by today's standard. Examine the photo? Paint difference? Photo's too small to examine. The high contrast on the rear deck bleaches out all detail, giving the impression of being bigger area than it is. The '64-'66 T-Birds are a huge favorite of mine. Very familiar with the styling. You might Google other images of these convertibles from a bird's eye view. I already asked the question, "Why?" Answer that and you might have your opinions confirmed. But I think another reader had the best answer. The trailer has stretched the frame. I'm sticking with that!

No, I don't think so, back end is really nice, windsheild isn't at all like an XK-SS. English, maybe even German, wonder if it may be BMW. Bob
